LOCAL AIRPORTS

Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

 

Driving: Estimated driving time: ~44 minutes (about 32–33 miles). 

  1. From the airport terminals, follow signs to I-195 West toward Baltimore/Washington Parkway.
  2. Merge onto MD-295 South (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) toward Washington, DC.
  3. Continue on MD-295 South until you reach the I-495 (Capital Beltway) interchange.
  4. Take I-495 West (toward Rockville/Fairfax).
  5. Shortly after, take exit for I-270 North (toward Frederick) or continue on I-495 toward Rockville — choose the most open route per traffic.
  6. Exit onto MD-355 South (Rockville Pike) toward North Bethesda.
  7. Turn left onto Marinelli Road, then follow signs to the hotel entrance at 5701 Marinelli Road.

Public Transit:  Estimated 1h 15–1h 30 depending on waiting times and connections. 

  1. Take the BWI MARC or Amtrak train from BWI to Washington Union Station.
  2. From Union Station, transfer to WMATA Red Line toward Shady Grove.
  3. Ride the Red Line to North Bethesda Station.

From North Bethesda Station, it’s about a 5-minute walk (≈0.3 miles) or a short bus/ride-share to the hotel.

Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport (DCA)

Driving: Est. driving time: ~35–45 minutes (approx. 18–20 miles depending on route chosen). 

  1. Exit the airport and follow signs to the George Washington Parkway North.
  2. Use the ramp to I-395 North toward Washington, DC.
  3. Continue on I-395 until it becomes I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway).
  4. Take I-495 North toward Rockville/Fairfax.
  5. Merge onto I-270 North (if traffic allows) or stay on I-495 West, then take the exit to MD-355 South (Rockville Pike).
  6. Turn left on Marinelli Road and proceed to the hotel at 5701 Marinelli Road.

Public Transit:

  1. Walk or shuttle to the Ronald Reagan National Airport Metro Station (Yellow Line).
  2. Take the Yellow Line to Gallery Place–Chinatown.
  3. At Gallery Place, transfer to the Red Line toward Shady Grove.
  4. Ride to White Flint Station, or better—stay on for North Bethesda Station.
  5. Then walk or take a short ride to the hotel (~5 minutes).

    Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Driving: Estimated driving time: ~31 minutes (approx. 25 miles). 

  1. From the airport, take the ramp onto VA-267 East (Dulles Toll Road) toward Arlington.
  2. Continue on VA-267 toward I-495 (Capital Beltway).
  3. Merge onto I-495 East toward Silver Spring/Baltimore.
  4. Exit onto I-270 North toward Frederick, or continue on I-495 then exit to MD-355 South (Rockville Pike) depending on current traffic patterns.
  5. Turn left onto Marinelli Road, then follow to the hotel entrance at 5701 Marinelli Road.

Public Transit:  Estimated time: ~1h 15–1h 30. 

  1. Take the Silver Line Metrorail from Dulles Airport Station toward Downtown DC.
  2. Transfer to the Red Line at Metro Center (Silver → Red Line).
  3. From Metro Center, ride the Red Line toward Shady Grove.
  4. Get off at North Bethesda Station. From there, walk (~5 minutes) or take a short local bus/ride-share to the hotel.

WMATA Metro

The Metro Station nearest the hotel is the "NORTH BETHESDA" station and is located on the RED LINE.

How to get to the National Mall

Walk to the "North Bethesda" Metro Station and take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the "Metro Center" Station. 

From here, you can either:

1. Walk directly south along 12th Street NW or

2. Transfer to the Silver Line towards Downtown Largo and get off at the "Smithsonian" Station.
